What’s special about the BlackBerry DTEK70?

Renders of the DTEK 70 reveal a physical QWERTY keyboard, and a new location of the front camera – it’s on the right of the earpiece now. Plus, proximity and ambient light sensors are different as well.

Unlike the DTEK50 and DTEK60, the DTEK70 appears to sport a physical QWERTY keyboard. It kind of reminds us of an elongated BlackBerry Passport in terms of looks.

As for its specs, it has been speculated that it will feature a curved display with a screen size of 4.5-inch. It has a full HD resolution that makes images and videos come out sharp, crisp and perfect.

The last time the handset was spotted on Geekbench some of its specs was revealed and it apparently featured a Snapdragon 625 chipset with 3GB of RAM which makes it a mid-ranger, but the upside is that it came with the latest Android 7.0 Nougat preinstalled supported by BB DTEK security software; an improved mobile security that protects users against malware.

Talking about what the photo and video potential of BlackBerry DTEK70, we are yet to get an official specification from the maker but going by what some tech blogs are posting; there is an 18MP rear sensor at the back with LED flash, OIS, autofocus for delivering detailed and clear shot while the front end is powered by an 8MP camera for smooth video and selfies.

The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the space bar, enabling the user to authenticate for anything that needs password without change hand position.

The battery is also rumored to be a 3,400mAh battery with two days of run time.
